Superintendent

We are excited to kick off our 2016-17 school year as the students returned on Monday, August 29th. We have a number of new staff members throughout the school and major changes to the facilities. As you enter the high school you will notice a totally remodeled office which will allow for greater safety for staff and students. Our plan is to make the office feel more inviting to everyone as well. The state legislature passed a law allowing schools to put any excess funds at the end of a fiscal year into a safety account. Hot Springs schools has been very conservative with our budgets and your tax dollars which has allowed for these changes to be made through our safety funds.

Another change that you will notice is the elementary playground. We have removed the asphalt and replaced it with grass. Obviously this will not only make the grounds safer for our students but also will help keep the west side of the building much cooler. We will also be installing a fence on the south side of the playground to help keep our students safe.

We enjoyed seeing many of you at our annual open house barbeque on and showing the fantastic changes made to your educational facilities here in the great community of Hot Springs.

Please don't hesitate to call or stop by with any questions you may have for me.

Sincerely,                                                                           Profile
