About Me

Lake Mcdonald
Hello and Welcome!

My name is Annie Gustafson and I teach science----Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology, Environmental Science, Physics, and Anatomy and Physiology.

A little bit about me.....

I graduated from Fordham University (Bronx, NY) with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Environmental Science.  While NYC is the greatest city in the world, I had to get out of there and start my life in Montana.  I moved to the Flathead Valley where I started my career with the National Park Service.  I worked for Glacier as a biological science technician.  My days consisted of tree climbing, hiking, water sampling, planting, collecting data, and educating school groups on the importance of native plant restoration.  It was through these experiences that I gained an appreciation for science that I did not get in the classroom as a student.  The thought came to me that I needed to instill this kind of appreciation for science into the young people of the world.

I got my teaching certificate from the University of Montana and I am proud to be part of the Savage Heat!

When I'm not working on science, I like to trail run, ski, and backpack- that's why I had to get out of NYC and move to Montana :)
